Ayvara Cruise: a seven-cabin Komodo liveaboard phinisi
Ayvara Cruise is a VIP-class traditional wooden phinisi and Komodo liveaboard that sails Komodo National Park from her home port of Labuan Bajo, Flores. She carries up to 15 guests in seven above-deck, sea-view cabins, each with air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom, with Starlink high-speed internet on board. The layout suits private family cruising around Komodo. Ayvara has been sailing since 1 August 2025 and is owned and operated by Komodo Luxury, with in-house crew and maintenance.
The boat suits families and small groups who want a private cruise around Komodo, couples who want a balcony cabin, and groups of up to 15 who want Starlink internet at sea. Guests sail either on a scheduled 3D2N open trip, priced per person by cabin type, or on a private charter of the whole boat for two to seven days. This site is the reference for the vessel; reservations are handled by Komodo Luxury on its Ayvara Cruise page.

Two ways to sail
Share the voyage or take the whole boat
There are two ways to join a Komodo cruise on Ayvara. The 3D2N open trip, also called a share trip, leaves every week of the year: weekend departures run Friday to Sunday and weekday departures Monday to Wednesday, from IDR 6,750,000 (USD 450) per person per voyage in a Superior Cabin. A private charter takes the whole boat for 2D1N up to 7D6N, from IDR 92,000,000 (USD 5,500) per charter for 1–8 guests on a 2D1N trip. On both, guests stay on the boat for the whole trip, liveaboard style. Both prices are 2027 publish rates, rate sheet dated 11 September 2026.

Cabins
Seven sea-view cabins, every one en suite
Ayvara has seven sea-view cabins in three types. Every cabin has a queen bed (160 × 200 cm), air conditioning and a private bathroom. The single Master Cabin adds a private balcony and one extra bed, so it sleeps three. The two Deluxe Cabins also have private balconies and sleep two each. The four Superior Cabins sleep two each and have large panoramic windows instead of a balcony. On the open trip, the cabin type sets the price per person.

On deck
360° rooftop, shaded sundeck, indoor dining
Outside the cabins, the shared spaces are a 360° rooftop deck, an expansive shaded sundeck and a fully equipped indoor dining area. The interiors are wooden. Meals, mineral water, coffee and tea are included during the trip, and snorkelling gear and life vests are provided. Starlink high-speed internet runs on board. Trip documentation by drone, GoPro and mirrorless camera is also included and is supplied as raw footage only. The drone permit for Komodo National Park is optional, is not included and must be requested 7 days before the trip.
Itinerary
Three days through Komodo National Park
The standard 3D2N Komodo Island tour begins with a morning pick-up in Labuan Bajo, then sails to Kelor Island, Manjarite and Kalong Island, where flying foxes are often seen from the boat at sunset. Day two starts with a 06:00 trek on Padar Island and continues to Pink Beach, a trek on Komodo Island to look for the dragons, snorkelling at Manta Point and Taka Makassar. Day three has a snorkelling stop at Sebayur Island before the return to Labuan Bajo. Stops may change with weather and field conditions.

All prices on this site are 2027 publish rates, rate sheet dated 11 September 2026, shown in rupiah and US dollars. Open trip rates are per person per 3D2N voyage: IDR 6,750,000 (USD 450) in a Superior Cabin, IDR 7,750,000 (USD 530) in a Deluxe Cabin and IDR 8,500,000 (USD 570) in the Master Cabin. A 3D2N private charter costs IDR 104,000,000 (USD 6,200) for 1–8 guests or IDR 118,000,000 (USD 7,000) for 9–15 guests. Komodo National Park fees are not included and are set by government regulation.
